Photocopying of Books and Pamphlets

The Shaw Historical Library will consider requests for the photocopying of published materials when such service can be provided without injury to the material and does not violate copyright restrictions

• Photocopy requests will be processed within 72 hours.
• Entire books will not be photocopied.  Photocopy requests should be limited to 10% of a book.
• Photocopies of library materials should not be used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, research, or educational purposes.  The photocopies must not be further reproduced.
• Material available elsewhere in the Oregon Institute of Technology Library will not be photocopied.  The age, condition, or format of the material may also limit photocopying.
• Orders may be picked up in the library or mailed.  A fee schedule is available listing current photocopying fees and shipping and handling charges.

Photocopying of Manuscript Collections

The Shaw Historical Library will consider requests for the photocopying of manuscript materials when such service can be provided without injury to the material and does not violate copyright restrictions.

• Photocopy requests will be processed within 72 hours.
• Entire manuscript collections will not be photocopied.  Photocopy requests should be limited to 25% of a collection with a limit of 100 copies.
• Photocopies of library materials are not to be used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, research, or educational purposes.  The photocopy must not be further reproduced.
• The age, condition, or format of the material may limit photocopying.  Photographs and maps will not be photocopied.
• Supplying a photocopy is not an authorization to publish.
• Orders may be priced up in the library or mailed.  A fee schedule is available listing current photocopy fees and shipping and handling charges.
