Ester Ogden Applegate Watercolors
The following 12 images are from the Ester Ogden Applegate Collection. The entire collection includes 128 watercolors painted by Ester Ogden Applegate, on botanical trips with her husband, Elmer Ivan Applegate, between 1899 and 1931. Elmer I. Applegate was a botanist noted for his work in Crater Lake National Park, Lava Beds National Monument, and the Oregon Caves. All of the watercolors are 6"x9" in size. Some of the watercolors include the botanical name of the plants.
